A historically black church in Greenville, Mississippi, was set on fire on Tuesday and ‘Vote Trump’ was spray painted on its side in large white letters.

The FBI has been notified of what looks to be arson at the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. “The FBI Jackson Division is aware of the situation in Greenville, and we are working with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners to determine if any civil rights crimes were committed,” said spokesman Brett Carr.

Fire Chief Ruben Brown told The Associated Press that firefighters found flames and smoke pouring from the sanctuary of the church just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday. While Brown said that there was a ‘political message’ painted on the side of the church, he would not say what the message was.

A woman at the nearby Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church told The Huffington Post that Hopewell is a historically black church and that the community is in shock over what happened.
