Chelsea Clinton, former first daughter, took to Twitter to encourage Americans to allow President Trump’s son Barron to “be a kid.”
In a tweet on Sunday, Clinton explained, “Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does-to be a kid.”
Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does-to be a kid. Standing up for every kid also means opposing @POTUS policies that hurt kids.

She went on to also go against the policies of his father that, in her opinion, “hurt kids.”

Clinton was quick to come to Barron’s defense following a series of social media users that made fun of the 10-year-old on Inauguration Day. Barron and his mother, Melania, plan to remain in New York City until Barron finishes out his school year.
Her tweet is powerful because Clinton speaks from experience. While her father, Bill Clinton, was president, Chelsea was front and center. Her mother, Hillary Clinton, also ran for president and lost the 2016 election to now-President Donald Trump.
