A number of dignitaries from the United States attended Shimon Peres’s funeral, including President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton.
Obama boarded Air Force One as the former president, known for being gregarious on the tarmac going back to when he was president in the 1990’s. Watch as the President playfully tries to get Bill Clinton to board Air Force One.
As Obama took off his jacket, loosened his tie, and rolled up his sleeves, Clinton continued schmoozing on the tarmac. Britain’s Sky News kept its cameras rolling capturing Obama, standing inside Air Force One, clapping his hands and then shouting “let’s go” down to the tarmac.
As Obama continued, it became apparent that he was directing his comment at Bill Clinton. A reporter spotted Clinton and John Kerry, the Secretary of State, talking on the tarmac.
As the footage continues, the President walked out of the plane to the top of the staircase and again shouted, “Bill, Let’s go, I’ll take you home,” gesturing with his arm for the former president to board.
Shortly after, Clinton was spotted walking up the stairs to board the plane. As he reached the top, he was met by the President, at which point, Clinton spread his arms and the two shook hands. The two were then seen patting each other on the back as they went inside the plane.
