Former Congressman Joe Walsh (R-Ill), an outspoken advocate for indictment of Hillary Clinton, said that FBI Director James Comey’s letter to Congress just 11 days before Election Day was “Wrong & Really Unfair” to Hillary Clinton.

The former lawmaker, now a conservative radio talk show host, who is a frequent critic of the Democratic nominee made his point in a series of tweets.

Walsh began by tweeting:

“Comey has screwed this thing up from the get go. He wrongly let her off in July & he wrongly stuck it to her on Friday.”

He continued by saying:

“Look, I think Comey should have said prosecute her back in July.

But what he just did 11 days before the election is wrong & unfair to Hillary.”

He added that:

“You may hate me, but I’ll always say what I believe.

I want Trump to win, but what Comey just did to Hillary is wrong & really unfair to her.”

He concluded by saying:

“Hillary is corrupt as hell, but the FBI Dir has no right to mess with an election.

He goes public cause of emails no one has seen? Just wrong”

The hardline conservative radio personality made it clear that he is and has been a Trump supporter; that he believes that Comey should have recommended criminal prosecution of Clinton in July; and that despite that, Comey was wrong in sending a letter to Congress on Friday.

He is an ardent supporter of the Republican nominee. So much so that he most recently made national headlines when he tweeted:

“On November 8th, I’m voting for Trump.

On November 9th, if Trump loses, I’m grabbing my musket.

You in?”

James Comey’s letter on Friday has prompted widespread criticism from Democrats and even some from the other side of the aisle. The Trump Campaign, and many Republicans have publicly praised the embattled FBI Director.
