On Sunday, President-elect Donald Trump has stirred up controversy with appointments at the highest level of his White House, Reince Priebus and Steven Bannon.
While Pundits and politicians generally praised Priebus, they generally slammed the real estate mogul for elevating Bannon, the former chairman of Alt Right site Breitbart News.
Chair of the Republican National Committee Reince Priebus has deep roots inside the party and particularly with one of his good friends and fellow Wisconsinite, House Speaker Paul Ryan. Trump received a very warm reception on Priebus. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was quick to tweet.
Reince will be an outstanding Chief of Staff! Congrats to our fellow cheesehead! 🧀

And former Ted Cruze staffer and CNN commentator was also supportive:
Let's be real. Reince is going to make the trains run while Trump and Bannon brainstorm new conspiracy theories

The House Speaker spoke up in support:
I'm very proud and excited for my friend @Reince. Congrats!

And even Republican stalwarts who have been longtime detractors gave Trump praise:

The reaction to Bannon’s elevated role was critical and swift. A spokesman for retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid a vocal critic of Trump, said the hire “signals that White Supremacists will be represented at the highest levels” of the new administration.
Intelligence committee ranking Democrat Adam Schiff called Bannon ‘antisemitic’ and ‘misogynistic.’
Selection of Steve Bannon for senior WH role unsurprising but alarming. His alt-right, anti-Semitic & misogynistic views don't belong in WH

Longtime Republican Strategist and CNN commentator Ana Navarro tweeted:
Oh, hell! White supremacist, anti gay, anti Semite, vindictive, scary-ass dude named Senior Strategist. After vomiting, be afraid, America. https://t.co/cZvP3vccjS

So y'all aren't worried about Bannon having access to State secrets? Just think of him as a racist homebrewed server, should get you angry.

Bannon is a highly controversial figure not just for the left by for many conservatives because of his leadership of Breitbart News, the Alt Right, White Nationalist news site.
