According to the New York Post, future First Lady Melania Trump and her 10-year-old son, Barron, will not be moving to the White House after her husband, Donald Trump, is inaugurated.
The two will continue to stay at their penthouse in Trump Tower in New York so that Barron can continue his education at his Upper West Side private school.
“Melania is extremely close to Barron, and they have become closer during the campaign,” said a source close to Trump’s transition team. “The campaign has been difficult for Barron, and she is really hoping to keep disruption to a minimum.”
Another source claims that Melania will go to the White House “as needed,” but her primary focus is on her son and his education.
A source close to the family explained that “[Melania] is really devoted to Barron.” According to that source, Mrs. Trump has not relied on nannies to raise Barron.
The decision to remain at Trump Tower will require increased security, involving both the Secret Service and the NYPD.
Jim Reese, former Delta Force commander and president of global security company TigerSwan, claimed “That building is going to become the White House of New York.”
