Michelle Obama and the Cleveland Caveliers' Awesome Mannequin Challenge

The Cleveland Cavaliers earned their trip to the White House by beating the Golden State Warriors in the NBA finals earlier this year.

The team traveled to Washington on Thursday where President Barack Obama honored the players. The players returned the favor through their gift to POTUS — a Cavs jersey of his own. “If the sleeves get tight can I tear these off, can I rip them?” Obama joked in his speech, referring to LeBron James’s hatred of sleeved uniforms.

Lebron replied, “I’ll show you exactly how to do it.”

The Cavs apparently are not just champs on the court. They took their opportunity at the White House to dominate the Mannequin Challenge with FLOTUS. After giving the President his jersey, the team recruited Michelle Obama to take on the latest internet challenge.

In the tableau, which is set to the tune of classical music, Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson appear taking a selfie in front of a George Washington painting. Standing in front of them, King James appears taking a selfie with the First Lady.

Lebron James posted the actual selfie from the Mannequin Challenge on Instagram:

In another view of the tableau posted on Instagram where Michelle Obama is seen gawking at the size of the team’s massive championship ring made by Kay Jewelers from 400 6.5 carat, diamonds, set in 10 karat white gold, and 14 karat yellow gold diamond.

The Mannequin Challenge has become hugely popular in recent weeks with the Hillary Clinton campaign posing for one in the campaign’s plane with Jon Bon Jovi.
