During a recent interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin hinted that she had experienced harassment while she was a Fox News contributor.

The hosts of MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe,’ however, saw Palin’s interview as being important for a different reason — the fact that Palin managed to come across as being somewhat articulate.

Co-host Joe Scarborough explained,

“I’m not being snide when I say this: She spoke in complete sentences. Over the past five, six, seven years, every time she got on TV she rambled to such a degree — it was word salad! If there were a Chop’t chain for the English language, Sarah Palin would be the major franchise owner.”

Both Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist said that Scarborough had set an “unbelievably low” bar for what Palin has to do to be praised.

Scarborough then recalled when he first saw Palin as she was announced to be John McCain’s running mate, saying,

“We saw this descent — she could not speak in complete sentences.”
