A newly released video shows a room full of people doing the Nazi’s salute to Hitler, except that this crowd is chanting “Hail Trump!”

The chants begin after the group listened to a speech about white nationalism that invoked Nazi terminology. The video was taken over this past weekend by a reporter for The Atlantic while working on a documentary about Richard Spencer, the person giving the speech on the video.

Spencer runs the National Policy Institute, a self-described ‘Alt-Right’ think tank that openly supports white nationalist and neo-Nazi policies. He has popularized the term “Alt-Right” to describe the movement. He has said that his dream is “a new society, an ethno-state that would be a gathering point for all Europeans.” He also has called for a “peaceful ethnic cleansing” of the United States.

In the clip, Spencer salutes the more than 200 attendees by saying “Hail Trump, hail our people, Hail victory!”

He calls the media “leftists” and “cucks,” which are common Alt-Right insults for people with whom they disagree. He also calls the media what the original Nazi party called the media in Germany, “Liligenpresse,” which means “lying press.”

“We don’t exploit other groups. We don’t gain anything from their presence,” he says. “The press has clearly decided to double down and wage war against the legitimacy of Trump and the continued existence of white America. But they are really opening up the door for us.”

Members of the crowd give the Nazi salute throughout the speech. “America was, until this past generation, a white country designed for ourselves and our prosperity. It is our creation; it is our inheritance; and it belongs to us.”

The Trump campaign issued a statement in response to the video:

“President-elect Trump has continued to denounce racism of any kind and he was elected because he will be a leader for every American. To think otherwise is a complete misrepresentation of the movement that united Americans from all backgrounds.”
