After what seems to be a successful ongoing boycott of all things Trump, Nordstrom has decided that it will no longer sell products made by Ivanka Trump’s brand.
According to the Washington Post, Nordstrom confirmed the news in an official statement, attributing the decision to divest from Trump’s brand to poor sales.
“Each year we cut about 10% [of brands] and refresh our assortment with about the same amount,” the statement said. “In this case, based on the brand’s performance we’ve decided not to buy it for this season.”
Anti-Trump group Grab Your Wallet launched the campaign to get Nordstrom to stop selling Ivanka’s brand in October, following the release of the leaked Access Hollywood tape in which Donald Trump was heard bragging about sexually assaulting women.
Co-founder of Grab Your Wallet Shannon Coulter tweeted,
.@Nordstrom: as a woman, longtime customer, and huge fan of your brand, I'm concerned that you carry the Ivanka Trump collection. 1/
