Stephen Colbert is as creeped out about Ivanka Trump calling dad Donald “daddy” as you are.

Trump was speaking about tax reform in North Dakota Wednesday when, inexplicably, he thought it pertinent to introduce his daughter and advisor onstage.

“Sometimes they’ll say, ‘You know, he can’t be that bad of a guy, look at Ivanka,’” said Trump during his speech. “Come on up, honey. She’s so good. She wanted to make the trip. She said, ‘Dad, can I go with you?’”

But wait. That’s not actually what she said, according to the president. Trump dialed up the creep factor to 10, adding: “She actually said, ‘Daddy, can I go with you?’ I like that. ‘Daddy can I go with you?’ I said, ‘Yes, you can.’”

On Wednesday’s episode of The Late Show on CBS, Colbert said it was “the most awkward moment” and joked that, “for Trump, that’s a pretty high bar.”

“Not weird at all,” the comedian deadpanned after airing a clip from Trump’s speech.

Colbert then joked: “All of Trump’s advisors call him daddy. Sean Spicer was actually the one who started it.”

The president’s bizarre reference to Ivanka calling him “daddy” did not go unnoticed on Twitter, either.

Standup comic Samantha Ruddy tweeted:

Here are a few more reactions:

Ivanka Trump herself has also been criticized this week for failing to speak out against the Trump administration’s repeal of DACA, the policy that gives residence rights to immigrants who moved to the U.S. as children and have almost exclusively been educated in the country and contribute to the American workforce.

After Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced its repeal Tuesday, a pro-immigration tweet posted by Trump’s eldest daughter in 2015 resurfaced.

In the tweet, Ivanka praised the story of an undocumented worker whose tenacity landed her a job on Wall Street.

Pointing to the tweet, one person wrote: “Your tweet would work today if you added: ‘we got her name and we’re deporting her now.’”
