Ted Nugent visited Donald Trump at the White House on Wednesday night, and the two reportedly went deep on such important issues as ‘political correctness,’ and its effects on American society.
In his blog post for “Deer & Deer Hunting,” Nugent showered the commander in chief with praise as an ‘everyman’ committed to fighting “status quo political correctness” and “power abusing bureaucrats” who oppose hunting regulations.
“We discussed various quality of life issues and how entrenched status quo political correctness has wrecked everything it has touched and how his administration is focused and dedicated to get back to the U.S. Constitutional basics of government of, by and for the people,” Nugent wrote.
The anti-gun control and hunting regulation Nugent was an unsurprising early supporter of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Nugent wrote his blog post after his visit and dinner with the President, which included Kid Rock, and Sarah Palin, telling readers that he believes that Trump is on the right track, and applauding his “America First” policies and his moves to remove environmental regulations.
“When his administration’s battlecry [sic] is ‘America first’ you know we are on the right track after a long and embarrassing disconnect by the political posers who forgot they worked for us instead of vice versa,” he wrote.
Nugent and Kid Rock are part of a very small number of ‘celebrities’ who support Trump. The President regularly trashes Hollywood ‘elites,’ which many believe is because he so yearns to be accepted by them.
