On Friday, as President Barack Obama was speaking to a large crowd in North Carolina, a Trump supporter stood up flashing a Trump-Pence sign and disrupting the President.
As the crowd started yelling and chanting at the Trump supporter, Obama continuously attempted to calm down the crowd. And despite the President’s repeated demands, the crowd was too worked up to listen. After over a minute, the President finally won over the crowd.
Once he had his chance, Obama made four very important points and something that perhaps should be a lesson to the Republican presidential nominee who has gone so far as to encourage violence against protesters.
The President said
“First of all, we live in a country that respects free speech … Second of all, it looks like maybe he might have served in our military, so we have to respect that. Third of all, he was elderly and we have to respect our elders. And Fourth of all, don’t ‘boo’ … vote!”
The crowd chanted in unison, before the president said it, “Vote!”
And therein endeth the lesson, Mr. Trump.
