Very early on Friday morning, U.S. President Donald Trump took to Twitter to attack the Federal Bureau of Investigation, saying they have been unable to stop leaks of national security information to the media.

He called for the leakers of such information to be found “now.”

Mr. Trump’s comments come amid media reports that the FBI refused a White House request to “knock down recent stories about contacts between associates of Trump and Russia during the presidential campaign,” according to Reuters.

The President has used Twitter as a means of attacking his critics time and time again. While the aim of his rants is usually the “dishonest media” or U.S. intelligence community, it seems Trump has turned his attention to the FBI in another gross display of his own inability to comprehend checks and balances on executive power.

Despite Trump’s complaints on social media and his criticism of the way that other people do their jobs, the American public does not seem to be happy with the way that he is doing his job.

Trump took his oath of office in January as the only President to enter office with a negative favorability rating. Since then, his job approval rating has steadily declined.

The latest Quinnipiac University survey released on Wednesday shows that his job approval slide is continuing. The poll says that only 38 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance, while some 55 percent disapprove of how the new President is doing his job.
