Amidst the slew of conspiracy theories about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s failing health, Donald Trump is addressing concerns about his health in an obscure way.

Donald Trump released a letter from his doctor claiming he had a clean bill of health, but it was later discovered that the doctor actually apparently wrote it very quickly — in about 5 minutes, according to him.

“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual elected to the presidency,” Trump’s gastroenterologist wrote, adding that Trump’s blood pressure and lab results were “astonishingly excellent” and “his physical strength and stamina are extraordinary.”

Since then, there has been a tremendous amount of pressure for the Republican presidential candidate to release his full medical records. However, Mr. Trump will not do that.

Instead, Trump plans to appear on Dr. Oz’s television show to discuss his health.

As Politico reports,

A teaser for the interview says that Trump “addresses why the health of the candidates has become such a serious issue in this campaign” and “reveals his own personal health regimen.” The interview is scheduled to air next Thursday.

A longer teaser for the one-on-one interview between Trump and Dr. Oz promises, “Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is here to share his vision for America’s health. We’re asking him the questions you want answered regarding your well-being, security, money and more. A no-holds-barred conversation you’ll be talking about.”

It seems that Trump and Oz are actually two peas in a pod. Both have a blatant disregard for facts, for instance. Dr. Oz has been widely criticized for his stance on several health related issues, from vaccinations to genetically modified foods. Oz also endorsed controversial diet supplements, for which he also came under fire.

Similarly, Trump has an affinity for faulty science — including claiming that vaccines are linked to autism and supporting Clinton health conspiracy theories.
