President-elect Donald Trump again attacked the United Nations on Monday, this time claiming that it is basically doing nothing, though it has potential.
As usual, employing 140 characters, Trump said that the “United Nations has such great potential but right now it is ajust a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time. So sad!”

His tweets follows another last week where he warned the U.N. that he will bring about change, saying that “things will be different” after he is sworn into office.
As to the U.N., things will be different after Jan. 20th.

Trump’s recent comments come in the aftermath of the U.N. Security Council’s unanimous vote (with the U.S. abstaining) on Friday to pass a resolution demanding an end to Israeli settlement building in occupied territories. The matter has drawn controversy because Trump — and some congressional Republicans — have come to the support of Israel on the matter.
Israel’s ambassador to the United States told CNN on Monday that his nation has “evidence” that the Obama administration colluded with the Security Council to pass the resolution. He said officials plan to share the evidence with the President-elect. “We will present this evidence to the new administration through the appropriate channels, and if they want to share it with the American people they are welcome to do it,” Israel’s ambassador told CNN.
