On Thursday, Donald J. Trump, the Republican nominee for president, sent an email blast to his supporters. The focus was not what immediately would come to mind, fundraising — although the email did end with an ask for donations. Instead, Mr. Trump was displaying his normal insecurities.
In his email, Trump asks supporters not to watch Hillary Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention where she is expected to accept her party’s nomination for president. Apparently, Mr. Trump is concerned that Mrs. Clinton is planning on using mind tricks on his supporters that would cause them to come to their senses and support a sane, knowledgeable, competent candidate a.k.a. Hillary Clinton.
In the email, Trump said
“Unless you want to be lied to, belittled, and attacked for your beliefs, don’t watch Hillary’s DNC speech tonight. Instead, help Donald Trump hold her accountable.”
