In the first edition of ‘Weekend Update’ on primetime, Saturday Night Live decided to bring back former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci.
The part was played by none other than former SNL cast member Bill Hader, whose “Mooch” character Facetimed Weekend Update hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che in order to continue his bragging tour.
Blowing two kisses to Che, Hader’s Scaramucci began: “Yo, it’s me Anthony Scaramucci … The Mooch.”
“I heard you too nutless liberal a–wipes mention my name earlier,” Hader began. “And when I hear my name three times, I appear like a goombah Beetlejuice.”
Che then started interviewing “The Mooch” by asking him whether he was surprised that his career as comms director was so short.
“Hell no!” The Mooch shot back. “Not after what I said to that a–wipe from The New Yorker — which was all off the record, by the way. but I guess people didn’t like it when I said- and let me see if I can clean this up for primetime, that Steve Bannon was trying to ‘S’ his own ‘C’.”
“And by the by, I was completely misquoted. I didn’t say Bannon was trying to ‘S’ his own ‘C,’ he did it! He made contact! I saw it! Tongue to tip,” he added.
He went on to explain that “The Mooch has no regrets, baby! All I did was sell my business, miss the birth of my child, and ruin my entire reputation, all to be king of ‘Idiot Mountain’ for eleven days.”
“The Mooch is loose!” he yelled out before making a pitch for a job on Weekend Update saying “You guys hiring over there? Cause I’m available and I got jokes now.”
Hader’s Scaramucci then closed out as can only be expected: by unleashing a lewd joke.
