Donald Trump has increasingly become bitter about Alec Baldwin’s impersonations of him on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, so much so that he immediately tweeted on it early Sunday morning.
This week, ironically, Baldwin was mocking the President-elect’s love of tweeting, when the real President-elect got on Twitter — mid-show — to let Baldwin know that he did not find it funny.
The show’s cold open featured Trump at a security briefing in which he constantly loses focus and turns to his phone instead.
“I just retweeted the best tweet. I mean, wow, what a great, smart tweet,” Baldwin’s Trump says after sharing a tweet by a 16 year old California high school kid named Seth. “He really did do this,” Kate McKinnon’s Kellyanne Conway says to the camera. The joke was that the real life President-elect actually did this — the satire was, in fact, reality.
“Mr. Trump, please stop retweeting all these random, real people. You’re not getting any work done,” an advisor asks him. “There is a reason actually that Donald tweets so much,” SNL Conway says. “He does it to distract the media from his business conflicts and all the very scary people in his cabinet.”
“Actually, that’s not why I do it,” Trump responds. “I do it because my brain is bad.”
Within an hour, the real Donald Trump was on Twitter calling the show “unwatchable,” and “totally biased,” seemingly misunderstanding the meaning of satire, or maybe not remembering what he actually did … in real life. Trump also repeated his dislike of Baldwin’s Trump — as he seems to do, almost weekly: “Baldwin impersonation just can’t get any worse.”
Just tried watching Saturday Night Live – unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can't get any worse. Sad

Baldwin responded within minutes by retweeting Trump’s tweet from both of his accounts. He offered Donald Trump a deal: Baldwin will stop impersonations if the President-elect would release his tax returns.
Release your tax returns and I'll stop.

Apparently, the President-elect did not like that deal because he has been silent on the matter since.
