One of the stars of the hit TV show ‘The West Wing’ blasted Ivanka Trump over her plea for religious tolerance, accusing her of “enabling hatred.”
Bradley Whiford, who played White House deputy chief of staff Josh Lyman on the NBC political drama — and who himself has been heavily involved in politics for years — tweeted “Your father is a racist birther. Steve Bannon an anti-Semitic opportunist.”
Whitford then blasted the 35 year old First Daughter and her husband and Trump’s top adviser Jared Kushner. “You and your husband are enabling hatred.” Whitford ended his tweet by adding “F— your shoes,” apparently referencing Ivanka Trump’s women’s product line.

Whitford appeared to be responding to Ivanka Trump’s tweet earlier in the week where she said “America is a nation built on the principle of religious tolerance. We must protect our houses of worship & religious centers. #JCC”

Her effort did not go over well with many Twitter users either. Many Twitter users posed the same question to Ivanka in some form or another — would she pass on this same message of religious tolerance to her father? Her post was seen as being ironic, considering that Steve Bannon has been accused of anti-Semitisim.
The 57 year old Whitford is not the only ‘West Wing’ star to speak out against the Trump administration. Last month, his co-star Richard Schiff told TMZ that Trump was “dangerous,” saying that the President will “do anything to delegitimize the press.”
