During the opening for “Late Night” on Tuesday, host Seth Meyers mocked President Trump’s visit to the Museum of African American History, invoking Trump’s own so-called birther argument by saying that he had only visited to find former President Barack Obama’s birth certificate.
On Tuesday, the President also had dinner with Vice President Mike Pence in the White House dining room, about which Meyers joked that, “Pence said grace and Trump said, ‘There were 1.5 million people at my inauguration.'”
White House press secretary Sean Spicer also refuted claims that retired Admiral Robert Harward turned down an offer to take over as National Security Advisor for financial reasons.
“Well, what he said was, ‘I wouldn’t do that job for all the money in the world.'”
Meyers also touched on the fact that the Vice President spoke in front of an American flag that had 51 stars on it in Brussels, Belgium. He said that the extra star was there to represent the new state in the U.S.: panic.
