President Donald Trump took to Twitter bright and early on Sunday morning to spark a Twitter war with the new head of the Democratic National Committee Tom Perez.
The race for DNC Chairman was, of course, totally "rigged." Bernie's guy, like Bernie himself, never had a chance. Clinton demanded Perez!

In his tweet, Trump called the race for DNC Chairman “totally ‘rigged,'” and compared it to the race for the Democratic presidential nomination in which Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders lost.
It seems that Trump couldn’t wait very long to try to meddle with the Democratic party, which is currently working on rebuilding itself after the Democratic establishment candidate, Tom Perez, won against Rep. Keith Ellison.
The President’s tweet is likely a response to a tweet that Perez wrote on Saturday. He wrote,
“Call me Tom. And don’t get too happy. @keithellison and I, and Democrats united across the country, will be your worst nightmare.”

Perez wrote that tweet in response to a tweet that Trump sent out on Saturday congratulating Perez in what seemed to be a backhanded compliment.
He wrote, “Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party!”

This type of rhetoric is par for the course with the President. While on the campaign trail, Trump had claimed far and wide that the general election would be “rigged” at each point where it looked like he might lose. He later switched his claim to saying that 3 million people voted illegally, insinuating that these voters are the reason that the Democratic presidential candidate won the popular vote and he didn’t.
